Best Thai in the Metro Area?. I friend of ours who knows his Thai food told us this was his favorite Thai place in the entire Metro area. So we had to give it a try on our way from Salem to Cannon Beach. We spit an order of tofu salad rolls, the Thai barbeque chicken and the crispy rice salad (Naem Kao Todd). For dessert we shared the homemade coconut ice cream. It was all very well prepared. We had more than enough food for our party of three with some leftovers for the next day. The more authentic NE Thai food is on the signs on the wall, not on the menu. Not all of what is on the wall has a good English translation. Ask your server to translate what is on the wall and make recommendations. We found our servers to be very friendly and helpful. We’ll be back to Rama Thai for sure.
Small place – Great food We…. Small place – Great foodWe live nearby and have always had both good food and good service.
Authentic Northeastern Thai Food. This restaurant makes authentic Thai food. Their specialty dishes are from the Northeastern part of Thailand. We had the sticky rice (which came in the bamboo thingy!) with grilled pork, tomyum soup, and chinese broccoli with crispy pork. They were all very very good!
A piece of Thailand in Beaverton. I was born in Thailand and moved to the U.S. when I was a teenager. I literally grew up eating Thai food. When I’m looking for authentic Thai food in Beaverton, I go to Rama Thai. It’s not a fancy place with expensive cocktails and wines. It’s where local Thai’s congregate and eat. All of the hand-written menu items written in Thai on the walls are choices difficult to find in most Thai restaurants. The service is friendly and the chefs will even share a recipe or two. I no longer live in Oregon but I stop in at Rama Thai with every chance I get when i visit.
Had beef fried rice for lunch. Very greasy, beef was chewy and the flavor seemed a bit fishy for it not having any seafood in it.
Fabulous. After reading the reviews i had to try it. This is now my goto Thai spot in the area. The food was delicious!
