Now Open as a food cart. They have opened a food cart (see photos) across the road from the restuarant while they are rebuilding. Open 11-8pm. Good hamburgers and slaw. They will have BBQ on weekends. They are helpful, friendly and hopeful as they look forward to the new building being done about March or April.
Great lunch – fantastic outdoor seating space!. We had a great lunch at the Markum Inn today.They’ve got a great outdoor seating area that is quite large. The outdoor area is far superior to the dark and dated interior. Service was very attentive and fast.Everyone enjoyed their lunch. I had, of course, the Reuben (now on the regular menu – formerly just a special). It’s quite good.The homemade chili on the chili burger looked amazing. And the side salad was enormous!I definitely recommend the Markum Inn!
New owners = Better service!. Big improvement on service for sure! Not to mention, I was a bit creeped out after hearing about the twisted, perverts that used to own this joint!!! This is an old, run down, small town pub. If you’re not claustrophobic (the ceilings are low, this place was built by midgets) you should give them a 2nd chance! The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is great

Undeniably Great!. The Markum Inn is a destination. There is no denying this is a community favorite! Sunday is our favorite day to visit, as this is prime rib day, which is mouthwatering, flavorful, and consistently a terrific meal. There is no pretense at this restaurant. Locals come and see friends, New visitors say they’ll be back for more. We brought family to the Markum Inn from St. Louis. They were far more impressed with this food than the high-priced restaurant in Portland. Thanks Markum Inn for always sending us away full and satisfied!
Drive a little, eat a lot!. I’ve mostly been a lunch customer. Love their burgers and Reuben sandwiches. Several folks I know rave about their prime rib Sunday night special. Don’t be put off by the location or exterior appearance.
Go on Sunday and get the prime rib… Absoluely delicious!
