Six of us went for lunch before an event. You order, pay and they bring it to you. They have condiments and fixings for sandwiches, so those come undressed. Two had burgers, one had chicken strips and fries, another had cod fish and chips, another had a Reuben sandwich and I had a German Sausage Burger. The food was good and the place is comfortable. We would not go out of our way to go again, but would not avoid it.
Cafeteria?. I had no idea it was a cafeteria style place until we were inside. I didn’t like ordering my burger, then getting my other food and dessert, then paying. Then I sat at my table and waited for my burger. It came later and I had to get up and go add condiments at a dirty condiment bar. The water glasses were small and you have to refill them yourself. It’s just not my style of place. Ya know, unless I’m at a hospital.
I love Tebos, great food and great service. The kids meals really need a makeover though. A half of a cheeseburger for a 9 year old is not enough. We still visit though, you have to have their french fries and strawberry shortcake!
Fancy burger joints are the in places these days. Tebo’s has been doing great burgers for years. You get a good flame broiled patty and a simple toasted bun. You control the fixings and secret sauce. They have pies and soft serve for that retro dessert experience. Yeah the average age can sometimes be high but those people know what they like and keep coming back.
A local favorite. Ok it’s a local favorite with the older set. However, I’m not included in that age group and I’ve been eating here since I was a child. First of all the strawberry shortcake is a must when it’s in season, just look for the huge sign outside to let you know. good, honest food, nothing fancy. hot sandwiches are good, the natural cut fries are greasy but tasty, desserts are yummy. They close early, go give yourself plenty of time. good place to go when the family can’t agree on what to eat, there’s something for everyone.
Unique but food ultimately proves bland.
