We have eaten at Purlieu three times and the food and wine has been very good every time. Compared to other more expensive, better known restaurants in the Eugene area, Purlieu is a clear winner, and its prices are reasonable.
Everything about this place is RIGHT. The place is cozy yet hip. Hip but not pretentious. Service is attentive and friendly. Cocktails are inventive. Food is beautifully prepared, locally sourced.
We were not hungry or thirsty but didn’t want to go home yet, so we googled wine bar and were extremely happy to find Purlieu. French fries, salad and wine did the trick. Perfect!
