My gyro was nothing special, and particularly cheaped out on the meat. You can get a vastly better one at either Albee’s or Poppi’s Anatolia.

The truth is………….. I had a Bistro Burger at Cafe Glendi’s neighbor in this wonderful little food court. But I had a chance to check out my brother’s Lamb and Beef Gyro.It was generously crafted and had Meat from one end to the other. Often, I have found, the lion’s share of Meat in these things is up front, so visually it seems you’re getting a lot, but when you get to the other end, you’re eating Veggies. We guessed the Beef to Lamb ratio was about 60/40. The Pita Bread also contained Romaine Lettuce, Onion and Tomato and a Yogurty/Ranch type Dressing. I also eyed, with envy, a Salmon Salad ordered by another patron. It had big chunks of Grilled Salmon on a very appetizing bed of Greek Salad. I could tell, by looking, it would be amazing! My next trip to the 5th Street Market food court will involve one of these for sure.

The Glendi Never Fails. I’ve been there many times and the food is always good. From the Roasted Chicken to the Gyro plate or Wrap, you get fresh, quality food that will leave you satisfied. As for vegan/vegetarian dishes, it’s not the place to go, but if you are looking for quality meats, rice and delicious salads, check it out. Oh, and the Tzatziki sauce is great and not overwelling at all.

Get the Gyro. The Gyros are great and are reasonably priced.
