We went on a rainy day, which was nice, because it didn’t get crowded until later. We received excellent service. The waiter DID bring us the wrong order, but he corrected his error. The wine was decent. The food was delicious. The ambiance is very Parisian… perfect place for an intimate conversation on a cold day.
A group of us went for dinner. I had their Prawns Naseem it’s was really good, cooked to perfection. I’m not much of a steam vegetables person but it was enjoyable done just right. It took ussometime to be served but it was definitely worth the wait. The venue is small and nice. I would go definitely go again. This was the second time my friends were dining there and they had a ball.
Fantastic food and experience. I went there for a birthday dinner and had a fantastic time. The food was amazing and well worth the price, the atmosphere was great, very comfortable and the head chef was a very friendly and interesting person who cooks out in front of the dinners. We were sat right next to the chef and talked to him and he made the experience better. The service was quick and very kind as well. All around great time and recommend it for anyone who likes fantastic food and service.
Everything we ordered was fantastic. Four of us had dinner there. Shared the calamari which was fabulous. I had the Steak Diane which was the best I’ve ever had and that is over 45 years of ordering it. The smoked ribeye and salmon special was also well liked by my dining companions. Desserts were all great. Great place to eat in Eugene and fairly priced.
Absolutely love the good service, atmosphere, and of course food. I had a special that was a mushroom stuffed sirloin that was incredible. A very calm and romantic restaurant for a night out!
Past it’s prime. I’m new to The Pacific Northwest in general and Eugene in particular. I do have ten years of experience in the restaurant field from one to five star establishments and feel that I know restaurants. Cafe Soriah is definitely one of those establishments running on a reputation long forgotten. I had this feeling from the reviews which rave about the steak Diane, but nothing else. Aside from the fact that the bartender could not make a decent martini(a problem I have encountered in many establishments, my appetizer and entree were mediocre for the price. My appetizer, a store bought puff pastry filled with agaric us mushrooms, and chvre was over cooked an bland. My entree, Mediterranean Lamb, was actually badly prepared lamb shwarma. It was so sour tasting, it could not be eaten. You can get better lamb from the trucks The service was good, until they noticed I did not like the food.I do not often write reviews, but for these prices, felt it encumbent upon me to respond. I have since gone down a notch and followed my gut over peer advice. I have been happy with the results.
Special Place. Our favorite restaurant in Eugene. When there is a special occasion or out of town guest, Soriah is the one we choose. We just celebrated our anniversary there and the two tables adjoining ours were anniversary celebrants as well. The patio dining is delightful on a summer evening and the service and food is always wonderful.Of course the wine list I great with a variety available to fit any budget.
