Good food, decent prices, service could’ve been better but all and all I was pleased. Wife had an amazing salad, I had a simple patty melt. Want to try it for breakfast.
Glenwood – Sorry to see the passing. Been to the Glenwood a million times starting back when they were in Glenwood. What a sad day to see that it appears the days of a great breakfast with solid service are over.It almost feels like the Glenwood has sold and we have a new owner that is trying to cut costs to recover their investment.I had breakfast today and here was my experience:- Aprox 10% higher prices- 35% smaller portions for both my wifes breakfast and my omelet- waiter was running around (short staff) and had to be begged for a refill of a $2.25 cup of coffee. First cup was miserably coldHopefully someone wakes up and realizes that these sort of cuts in service, portions and customer focus will not lead to a sustainable business.Sorry to see this happen
Good Food- So So Service. I like the mediterranean scramble and that is the usual that I order when I come in. The place gets packed so I try to avoid busy times, even though, the service seems to always to be so so, whether it’s peak times or slow times. Can’t understand that as I used to be a server in Casino’s and other restaurants. I do go back for the good food which is consistent.
I love Glenwood before 8:30am or after 10am on a weekday and before 8am on a weekend. When it gets busy, the waitstaff get a little overwhelmed and coffee cups forget to be filled and they’re not as cheerful as usual, and understandably so. That being said, it’s my favorite breakfast spot in south Eugene.
SERVICE?? What Service.. GLENWOOD on Willamette St. ~ July 26, 2013, went in about 2:00PM and the restaurant was almost empty. Stood there for 3 min while the server was chatting with friends. Finally I was seated by some guy who gave me a menu and a glass of water. FIVE minutes went by and I was ignored by the server still chatting with friends two tables away. I finally just wrote on the blank order check which the guy placed on the table for the server, (NO SERVICE) and I got up and left. I doubt if the server ever had a clue what was going on. If I owned that restaurant that server would have Left Employment and the restaurant when her friends left.
Best food I’ve ever had!!! This place has spoiled me for all other restaurants, especially breakfast places. Keep on keepin on Glenwood!
Good traditional breakfast. Nice place serving traditional breakfast classics. Nothing scary, nothing crazy nothing bad. The service is fast and efficient and the food is good. One person described it as parent friendly… I think I would go more grandparent or even someone from the Midwest friendly:-)
