Mixed Bag. The wait staff are consistently pleasant. The apple pancakes and dutch babies are what this place is all about. They are wonderful. The omelets are baked and very good, and they know how to cook a sunny side-up egg. That’s where the goodness ends for us. The pancakes become soggy quickly, the waffles are very thin, their homefries taste precut, frozen and sprinkled from the bag to the grill…they’re awful! Their potato pancakes always taste/smell a little greasy even though they look lovely. Any of the bread used for toast is low quality. They recently added biscuits and gravy to their menu but we were told the gravy is a powder to which liquid is added! Why bother to have something like that on the menu?! Like I said, a mixed bag. And as many have said, go as early as possible unless you like to wait in a drafty, crowded lobby. And don’t expect to linger or feel like you table isn’t needed when it’s busy.

This is a great place for breakfast. To save wait time, do not go when the church crowd is getting there. tbe food is great, service is great…parking not so great, but overall…we like it.

Best place for breakfast. This is where we go for breakfast out! I am absolutely addicted to their pumpkin pancakes. I have tried and tried to duplicate them at home. No way. Theirs are hands down the best ever. Don’t like pumpkin, no problem. They have every kind of pancake imaginable, as well as a great selection of waffles, omelets and the usual breakfast fare, plus if you call ahead to request in advance, they’ll make you a Dutch Baby or apple pancakes. Prices are reasonable too and the service is top notch. We eat here about 1 – 2 times a month and most of the servers know us here now. Unlike most coffee shops, there is no a lot of turnover in employees. The down sides are that this place is always busy and they close at 2 PM. The wait on the weekends especially are long (expect at least 1/2 hour wait between opening and noon). This is a family-friendly place and is very popular with the university students (you can often see the kids still in their pajamas with their bed-head hair nursing a hang-over at the next table), so the noise level can be a little overwhelming. But for good service and great food (btw, the meats are from a local butcher, not a factory farm), this is a great place for breakfast or an early lunch! Don’t forget to try their pancakes. Really!

Pancakes!!!. They have a wonderful variety of pancakes, made from scratch, every day, with the highest quality ingredients (you don’t want to know what IHOP puts in their pancakes). The service is always good and while the Original OPH on on Barber Blvd might be better than the one in Eugene or Chicago or Vegas… They are all good… and only the first one comes with a two hour wait.

    Nasty over priced crud.

Average quality. Just popular campus area. They were too busy to put the diced ham actually in the pancake batter on my order. Too bad..

Nickle and Dimed. The food was pretty good. I have a problem with charging for every little thing, to include butter for pancakes. On top that, they have steep prices. Service was okay. They lost my patronage, I am not fond of being nickle and dimed.
