Good beer, bad food. Almost on campus Rennie’s is a pretty good hangout for teachers and students alike. They have a outside patio (mostly smoking) a TV/Pool room a small bar room and a larger side room where one can usually have a drink and a conversation. The food in pub fryer food and is OK. The service is mostly… order at the bar. I was rather annoyed the other day when someone sat in the quieter side and asked for the TV volume to be turned up which the bartender quickly did. I complained but was ignored by the bartender and so we moved as far from the TV as possible while 2 other tables quickly finished there beverages and got up and left. We too left as soon as we finished our drinks. Why would they run out 8 people to make one happy instead of having the one move to one of other rooms with the volume already turned on is beyond me. I think this might also explain why there seems to be fewer of the teacher crowd this year than they seem to have for the last couple.

Awesome, Morning and Night. Rennie’s is a dependable watering hole with friendly service, outdoor patio seating, two bars (one upstairs, one downstairs), shoot some pool, and a few tv’s to catch a game. Being across the street from UO campus, it draws a fairly young crowd, but anybody could comfortably hang out here. Cheesy bacon fries are a must if you are going for drinks, and if you can wake up in time for breakfast the morning after, it is well worth setting an alarm. Good prices for drinks and apps, and VERY cheap/delicious breakfast.
Dependable campus hang-out…. Consistently good food and drinks, Rennie’s is great for the laid-back college crowd. The bartenders are friendly but the prices are a little higher than the downtown bars…. still, they’ve got some great drinks.
