BEWAREFOOD POISONING FOOD POISONING FOOD POISONING.- I wish there was a rating for 0. Yesterday I got terrible food poisoning. My burrito just had eggs, veggies, gauc and sour cream. 24 hours later and I’m still sick. I will never go back.UPDATE: Apparently the issue of food poisoning at Riva taco shop is a common problem. I just mentioned to a friend that I had food poisoning and the without me telling him knew that it was RTS because he had it 2 times at RTS a couple months ago :-/
Borders on Terrible. I feel somewhat guilty writing this review, due to the incredibly polite nature of the employees working at Rivas. That being said, this ‘taco shop’ is at best a two star establishment. I found the food to be of extremely poor quality. The meat had large chunks of gristle meshed in, the vegetable sides tasted borderline expired, and don’t even get me started on the sauces (if you can call them that). I love Mexican food in almost all ways, shapes, and forms – but this place just does not deliver. The Eugene / Springfield area is home to many different burrito / taco joints and for the same price, the competitors offer meals light-years ahead in quality. They are however open 24 hours a day and serve large portions, so there’s that going for them. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this eatery unless perhaps you’re intoxicated and it’s 4 in the morning.
Food is passable, especially for a 24-hour place. Been there a few times when in a hurry. It is fast, but they need to work a bit on customer relations. Particularly, the teenager who works up front from time to time. Ignores orders up while playing on his phone. Argh!
Service was fast but unfriendly. Tables were dirty at 5:00pm with no customers inside. Food was bland. Next to no spices it seemed. Not my favorite but passable. The wife thought it was fine. Guac saved it.
Just went to Rivas. Got a burrito and a hard taco. The food was whatever but the hot little Latino girl who worked there had the nicest ass. 9/10 maybe 9.5/10
