We’ve eaten here before and were please with the food and service. However, today’s breakfast was horrible. The service sucked. Our food was dropped off at our table cold, our waitress couldn’t be bothered to come back even after ten minutes so we had to go find someone so we could get silverware and condiments. Won’t be back.

The New Wild Duck on Coburg Rd.. Having never eaten at the original one, we were interested in trying the newly-opened one. We were greeted warmly at the front door, and our waitperson was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. My husband ordered their Oregon Classic burger and hand-crafted potato chips, and I ordered a Caesar salad and the Ferns Edge Goat Cheese (written as chevre, dusted in panko, fried and drizzled with balsamic reduction, cranberries, candied hazelnuts, and served with grilled baguette). My husband’s meal was good but mine was a complete disappointment. What could have been a simple, elegant dish was a mess. The goat cheese was an over-cooked and greasy, the candied hazelnuts were diced so small that I had to chase them around my plate to get them, and the bread, which is 50% of the presentation as well as the meal and should have been high-quality, was just grocery-store brand white bread with gratuitous grill marks on it, served dry. I could not at all easily blend the cranberries, the hazelnuts and the goat cheese to spoon onto the bread. I would return for the service, the burgers and the chips but would be wary of trying anything other than diner fare.

GREAT. I can’t imagine why this place wouldn’t have a 100% review!I sat at the bar, they have several great local brews on tap.. I liked that. They have cool duck decor, including buoy hunting ducks which was kinda cool. I had the crispy duck salad and kelly blue chips. Both were delicious! The bartender was SO friendly, his name was Nick. He was fast and very attentive to everyone at the bar, any frequent bar-goer can appreciate that.I’d recommend this place to anyone that wants a good beer and a decently priced meal in a clean, classy place.
