Refrigerated pastries and yes, that attitude. I wish the pastries were not refrigerated! The divine croissants from Fleur de Lis bakery get instantly hard in the cold storage. I was reminded of this when I had a an incredible choc croissant from New Seasons of all places, today.Also, I agree with the prior review — even though I’ve dropped a bundle there (only place on the way to work), I have to just grin and bear the fact that the owner has some attitude! Baristas are all friendly and talented though. I mostly go for them and because its my neighborhood peeps.

Neighborhood coffee shop without a neighborhood feel.. Great coffee; cold, unfriendly staff (including the owner with a crappy attitude)! if you work with the public, you should at least be able to pretend like you like them. no coffee is that good.
DO LIKE the Good Follow-up. The Owner of Extracto just contacted me to personally apologize for the Thanksgiving incident. That’s very good customer service. Also, I was clearly in a very foul mood when I wrote that last review, so take it with a grain of salt. In the past I worked my share of service jobs, and I’ve probably pissed off a customer or two myself… The coffee IS outstanding, so you be the judge.
