Homemade, great food, great price. Came in to town from Eugene for the day and was surprised and delighted by this place! Food was DELICIOUS, homemade and fast. I highly recommend the carnitas tacos as the pork is homemade and insanely delicious. You also cannot go wrong with the carne asada. I am excited to go back and try breakfast next!

Another mixed feelings review. Nice people. Good service. Prices are fair. But we just didn’t like the food. My wife had a veggie enchilada and I had the chorizo and potato enchilada. My dish was quite salty and the chorizo tasted off, somehow. Chorizo e papa anything is one of my favorites, too. I hate to ding nice people, but we left and then went to Salem for lunch No. 2.

Wow. Just had a skillet breakfast with homemade chorizo. Delicious. Organic green salsa wonderful with potatoes and veggies. Partner had omelette. Lots of fresh veggie options too. Corvallis: start eating here. We’re from out of town and found this place across Circle from Whole Foods.

Mixed Feelings. After reading several shining reviews of this establishment my lunch crew and I dropped in for some vittles. There were only one set of customers when we walked in around noon today and we quickly were directed to take any seat we wanted. The Restaurant itself is clean, crisp, spacious, and has a really nice sunset paintjob. Between the paintjob and the air conditioner being turned way down (or off) it felt like I was eating in the Chihuahuan Desert. The waitress brought us menus, chips, salsa, water, and sat an orange colored drink on the corner of our table before quickly darting back to the kitchen. My party all sat staring at the drink and began to question its purpose on our table. After several minutes had elapsed the waitress came back with silverware, picked up the drink, and took it to a customer outside. Now, if I were that guy, I would be ticked that my drink sat on someone elses table for that long. Having decided on what we wanted, the waitress came back to take our order. I ordered a Verde Burrito while mi amigos ordered a chili relleno and a monte cristo. I inquired about the deep orange colored drink and was informed that it was mango juice; we ordered two. The chips and salsa, being standard in most places, were warm and spicy just the way the ol reverend likes. The puny size of the verde burrito that was plopped down in front of me was a mild exasperation; however, the contents of said burrito were fantastic: Tender pork, green sauce, black beans (you have a choice between black and pinto), rice, and an oozing river of molten cheese. The burrito itself was very good but for the small size and no sides, the $7 price tag was a little painful. The two mango drinks were a whole other story. When brought to our table they were visibly more watery looking than what we had previously seen. The waitress explained that they were officially out after pouring these two glasses. To verify, we looked out the window were the gentleman was still enjoying our two minute table guest. His drink was far darker in color and much thicker. Call me paranoid, but I think they stretched out the last of the mango juice and watered it down to fill the glass. A couple of gringos wont notice, right? Wrong! I would much rather of had her come back and tell me they were out instead of trying to pass off a virtual mango water. Again I was not able to confirm this, but the evidence is there. My lunch buddies gave their chili relleno and monte cristo a thumbs up. I may be back at a later date to try one of the many other dishes they have to offer and another mango juice to satisfy my suspicious mind. For now, I suggest you give em a taste.

Best Mexican in Corvallis. Yeah, this is a place you should be. They can get behind when they get slammed, but the food is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had.

Estrella en ascenso!. This is no doubt an up and coming restaurant in Corvallis. The vast majority of the food you eat here is prepared fresh on site and it shows. You’ll find the owners here working open to close with dedication and a sincere concern for your dining experience. I have been here twice now for breakfast and dinner and neither occasion failed to impress me. They have been hard at work too. On my second visit they had completely repainted from floor to ceiling. They continue to work on upgrading the menu and offering tasty specials. On this last visit with my gf we dropped by for dinner as we were close by and I had no desire for fast food. We walked in and were immediately greeted from across the room inviting us to have a seat anywhere. There was only one other party at the time. In a couple minutes she brought us menus, water & chips with salsa. I like the menu. It’s small but covers all the basics. You aren’t overwhelmed like some establishments that offer 3 or 4 times the selection but half the quality and/or portions. I selected the beef & lamb burrito (offered with black or pinto beans) served with chips while my gf chose the carnitas chimichanga served with rice from the specials board. It was not long before our plates arrived with bountiful servings. We were both hungry so we eager to dig in. I very much enjoyed my beef and lamb although I found it hard to distinguish those two meats among the melted cheese and beans. The chimichanga was excellent although I’m used to them being a bit crispier. The carnitas was tender and delicious and I got to finish off what she couldn’t eat. Unfortunately after this is was stuffed as I was anticipating trying their flan. This will have to wait for another day.Do not deprive yourself of this wonderful cafe. You can get breakfast, lunch & dinner here. In fact they serve breakfast all day! Just be sure to go in hungry. You’ll leave satisfied and it won’t break the bank. Definitely a rising star!
