Nice place. A little piece of France in Corvallis. French themed restaurant gives European feel indeed. Desserts was nice. Quiche was very good. Croissant tasted good but the raw veggie had worms in them, which was not desired at all.
If there’s a heaven, PLEASE include le Patissier!!. I have been eyeing this place since I moved to Corvallis last summer. I finally went in this past Sunday and had the ham & cheese croissant for breakfast. I had intended to nibble it on the way to service but I never got out of the parking space until it was finished. It was the best I have ever eaten. The croissant had this gloriously crisp crunch to it, the cheese was warm and not a bit greasy, and the ham was thin enough to bite easily, yet thick enough to feel like a breakfast food. The balance of textures and flavors was just amazing; a perfect ratio of cheese:croissant:ham. I also was impressed that the cheese didn’t ooze, run or slide out of the croissant. The dessert croissant and pear turnover were not Americanized with over-sweet fillings or icings. The best part of the pear turnover, to me, were the real pear slices, not a gloppy sauce or canned pears. Firm, barely adulterated with sugar, pear! I’m telling you, if there’s a heaven and no le Patissier, I’m not staying!
