Another solid recommendation….. From prime member Rev. Rooster!I can’t think when I’ve seen a greater selection, some of which is comprised of offerings not usual in an Asian Buffet. If you like Shari and Nigiri Sushi, zero in on the Sushi Bar. Bear in mind this is not a make-em-fresh-to-order Sushi place. But I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I sure wasn’t. (See photos) Interspersed among the many Chinese offerings were a few surprises, like Pizza Slices! Here are the other items I selected from the Buffet:Rice Noodles with Veggies … GoodBBQ Pork … Didn’t measure upSweet &Sour Chicken … Didn’t measure upTeriyaki Chicken (on skewer) … GoodSeafood Delight: Shrimp … Good Ersatz Crab … MehButtered Mushrooms … GoodSesame Balls … GoodRice/Black Beans in Lotus Leaf* … Very Good*I’ve only seen this item offered as Dim Sum at a high end restaurant in Portland. I think it’s called Lo Mai Gai. I was surprised and delighted to see it here. All in all, New China Buffet has and dazzling selection selection of food. Its buffet is a buffet and cannot be what it’s not. But for $7.99 (AYCE) I certainly have no complaints. Thanks Rev.!

One of my favorite buffets around! I love the food, price is fair, but the service is rarely prompt. They move slow and don’t wait to snag your plate before you’re finished. But, I must say that I enjoy the atmosphere. Busy hours do get loud and people who are dining there sort of leave their manners at home, but the they keep the food fresh, smelling delicious and cooked right.

Good food. The quality of the flavors in the food items are great. The only downside is that it is quite expensive ($12/each). We love this restaurant but only eat there on special occasions.

I used to go here quite frequently a few years ago, and I rememebred the food to be fantastic. When we decided to go here last night, that had changed. Most of the food was over or under cooked. This place has become way overpriced for the poor quality food it serves.

Still Good. New China Buffet is the most consistent buffet I have ever been to. The food always tastes good, is hot, and relatively fresh (by buffet standards). I dropped in today for a quick bite around 2PM and it did not disappoint. If you want some great Chinese buffet, give em a taste.12 May, 2012Haters Gonna Hate…. Traditionally speaking, I do not go into a Chinese buffet expecting hot, fresh, and authentic food made from the finest ingredients that can be reaped from Gods green earth; nor should anyone else. So why go to a Chinese buffet? Because you want food that vaguely resembles Chinese food and lots of it… I mean plate after plate until you are confident you have just bankrupt the owners. My good friend and eating buddy Rob visited New China Buffet for lunch today. I knew that they had pretty good sushi so I loaded my first plate with all my fishy little friends, followed by another, and then another. As I sat pondering if I was going to get mercury poisoning from the mass amounts of raw fish I just ate, the owners of the yummy house came in! After talking to them for a bit I found out they were on a sushi mission as well. The sushi is good but not the highest quality. The other food is standard Chinese buffet vittles. The prices are good, the food is about a 7 out of 10. If you are in town, give em a taste!

Very expensive Chinese buffet. Some dishes are okay, some are bad, none are exceptional.

One of the better buffets. Most of the food is pretty good. Some is hit & miss. The seafood and sushi are usually good. Not a fan of the desert bar, but most of the entrees are good. I’ve always had great servers who are quick to keep my drink full and my dirty dishes off my table. I think some might be put off by some of the servers abruptness, but I’m pretty sure it’s a cultural thing for them – and people need to see past this. I go here when I’m indecisive about what to eat and I’ve never left disappointed.
