Ate a late lunch at about 3:30. Service was terrible, plenty of staff but they were too busy chatting with each other. Food was not impressive either, we had the falafel which my husband could not eat and the bratwurst which was ok. Their homemade sauerkraut needs help. Beer is pretty good but we will not be returning.
I’ll get right to the basics. The wait was about 35 minutes to get seated. The place was very noisy. My wife and I had to lean over the table to be able to converse. A server came very soon after we were seated, which was great, and he was very polite. Within 5-10 minutes we had our drinks and placed our order, but then a full hourpassed before we received the food we ordered. If the food had been stellar, I could recommend the wait; but it seemed like typical bar food. To be fair, I did not order beer, which I suspect is the primary reason people choose Sky High. In my opinion, the kitchen and the wait staff cannot keep up with the number of people they allow into the pub at one time. Because of the long waits, the high level of noise in the place, and the average food, I cannot recommend Sky High Brewing and Pub.
Fries. I nearly cannot stop stop eating the fries. crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, salted to perfection.07 Feb, 2015Extend O Burger. The Gorgonzola cheese and sauce contrast to make this the most delicious burger! yum. The bun is proportioned well, tasty but not overbearing the excellence of the burger. When they opened i ordered the Falafel Hoagie. It was great except on a terrible Hoagie bun. I told them it should be on pita and tonight it was and it was delicious! We like the food and the beer now.
Food is terrible. I’ve tried so many times to like this place, but their food is always terrible. I’ve tried at least half the things on the menu and only found one thing I actually like. I would say the food is ‘tolerable’ but not worth paying for, and their fries are always sadly undercooked. The fact that they’re always out of the beer I want makes it so that I have no reason to go back anytime soon.
The Fish Tacos are excellent!
Mostly great. I would rate the food as very good pub food. They had a computer malfunction and lost our order. The manager came over and apologized and as it turned out only charged us for our drinks. The beer was very good. The only downside was the service was very spotty. We nearly had to tackle the server to get ketchup. If they get their service act a little better it’ll be a great place for casual dining. One other word of caution is it is quite noisy in peak dinner times.
