Finally made it in!. I have been trying to try the Downward Dog for a while now and finally had the opportunity on a quite Monday night. Typically this place is packed and we wind up going next door or down the block. I must admit I had a misconception here thinking their focus was on hot dogs but I soon found out they actually have a substantial burger menu. The one hot dog I did see offered was sourced from Pepper Tree! You place your orders at the bar and take a booth or table. Your food and beverage is brought to you and although I didn’t need it I ordered The hangover helper burger. All (most) of their burgers start with 8oz of Rainier natural beef cooked to order. In addition mine consisted of canadian bacon, fries, chipotle aioli, a fried egg & cheddar cheese. This is a respectable burger to say the least. The lighting was practically nonexistent or I’d have posted a photo. Surprisingly I was able to put it all away along with the very good hose made chips. I just might have to expand my burger guide to include Corvallis. I was very tempted to be a piggy and order the Home made mac n cheese but my sensible side won out and instead we all shared the Nacho fries. The fries were good and the fresh jalapenos provided an intense kick. Thankfully these were easy to pick off. I heard no complaints and everyone enjoyed their meal. Indecently the PBR’s are $2 on Monday nights although I had a Hef.It’s a great place tucked right between Great Harvest and Cloud & Kelly’s. They have a fully stocked bar, a respectable beer offering and a few wines to round it out. I must come back to try the mac and I’m curious about their clam chowder. It’s one of many great lil’ hangouts in downtown Corvallis.

Yummy food. Recently ate at the Downward Dog Pub when meeting up with girl friend. She recommended the cobb salad and I was not disappointed. I was amazing full of flavor in each bite. It has had me craving it ever since I left. She also raved about their mushroom quesadilla and their mac and cheese but I dont know if I can ever order anything else. Will most definitely be visiting regularly.

Diablo Burger. My wife and I are frequently going to Cloud 9 or the Downward Dog (adjoining restarants owned by the same people with same menu). It’s one of our favorite eating spots. The diablo burger is the best burger in the entire Willamette Valley. It has a tremendous kick to it and it tasts phenomenal. My wife loves the ahi sandwhich but she has to make a special request to have it with aoili. Oh, and don’t forget the Mac-N-Cheese of the day and a pint PBR for $5.95. That is always good.
