This place is weird and totally on the outskirts, and of course that only adds to its charm. The tacos have everything I love about tacos, with no frilly nonsense. The salsa is pretty hot without being overbearing. For $1.50 it’s just what I want. But the game changer was certainly the Sopes. Next time I’m just going to double down on those. Their a face full of fluffy, crispy goodness topped with your choice of meat. The half bar/half gambling hole adjacent to AFaF is dingy and off putting, but hey; they have beer. Don’t expect a good pour, but they have modello and corona, so it’s all good. All in all; I support these tacos.

So good! Best Mexican food we have had since moving to the area. Very unassuming on the outside- if we hadn’t heard so many good things from friends we would have never gone in. The food was super fresh. Amazing prices and large portions. Will definitely be a place we return to often!

Ouch!. Every time I eat here (3 times) I get the same thing. It tastes so good but by the 3rd or 4th bite *slam I bite down on something hard that sends shock waves of pain through out my entire body down to the depths of my soul. For the price I pay for a simple burrito a proxy 8.50 including tip, I would expect the same quality trim of the meat that I would give it at home for my own family. Disappointed to say the least.

Cochinita Pibil. Amazing. Try it with the Habanero hot sauce but be careful…it is a spicy sauce.21 Jan, 2015Just go…. I had a feeling this place was special from the minute I walked in. There are many fine Mexican places in this area, but the owner and chef serves Yucatecan inspired dishes, like cochinita pibil and poc chuc. I decided to go against those and try something that everyone hadn’t recommended in other reviews, and instead had this amazing black bean soup, the name of which escapes me. It had huge chunks of this marinated pork in a delicious black bean soup. Onions, radishes, lime, peppers and salsa are served on the side, along with 5 corn tortillas. You can make little tacos and dip them in the soup and you will be in heaven. The salsa that comes with the dish is amazing, but apparently they have two other homemade salsas that are equally incredible. I can’t wait to go back and try everything they have. Be prepared to wait a little longer than most places because everything seems to be prepared as ordered. Friendly service and reasonable prices for the quality of the food.
