Nirvana in the rough. OK, so I am from the East Coast where quality seafood is only a distant memory, but this place is a gem.Start off with the most kick ass chowder you will ever slurp from a cup, followed by a crispy order of fish and chips made from ridiculously fresh pacific halibut. Wash it down with a cold brew, and smile with the knowledge that you spend less money than coffee and scones at a Starbucks! If that isnt enough, the staff is warm, friendly and aims to please. Nirvana!
Cute waitresses! That’s the ONLY good thing about this place. Chowder was NOT worth it, garlic bread was SO buttery, crab cake was THE worst mush patty thing I’ve ever tasted. Do not eat here!!!
Great oyster shooters and chowder.
Friendly. Our server was friendly and prompt. I ordered a reuben and it was ho hum. The chowder was good
I didn’t know it was possible to make a bad BLT. The menu looked questionable, but we went anyway. My sister and I both ordered a BLT. This was a mistake. There was only one slice of ‘T’, which ended up on only one half of the sandwich. The bread was some sort of chemically constituted foam. Only one slice was toasted, the other untoasted, resulting in a funky (bad) texture. The bacon grease dripped onto the untoasted piece, culminating in an inedible mush. We were so hungry, it wasn’t until the second half of our sandwiches that we realized that this was BAD FOOD, and ended up feeling quite ill for the rest of the day. Even a month later, thinking about this meal makes me gag.
Really great chowder, obviously very fresh ( the clams were plentiful and very tender). The chef/waiter/host/bus boy really hustled (yep, one guy did it all! ). The Neptune dinner was a hearty serving of mixed shellfish and cod sauted in a garlic herb butter broth. Big enough for two to share. And so good I considered sticking my face in the bowl and slurping! Casual, friendly diner style atmosphere.
Great food and great service. We had a simple meal of halibut fish an chips with clam chowder and everything was fantastic. The fish was perfect with the light breading and was very tasty. To finish off the meal we had the peach cobbler which was simply awesome. The service was top notch and we cant wait to go back.
