I’m surprised this place got such a high rating because the sushi just is not good imo. The rice is soo dense and gummy it reminds me of the sushi at the cheap buffets or the sushi you might by in the fridge section of Safeway. That being said, I’ve had much better from several different sushi places. But this the worst I’ve had from a restaurant that wasn’t a Chinese buffet. Also, every time I drive by there, the drive thru is never open and the parking lot is always empty. I wonder if they get much business? If not, I think I understand why. The sushi is lacking greatly and there’s no reason that it should be except for the owners indifference to quality product and accumulating more business and money. If they figured out how to make good sushi and improved customer service and the experience of even going in therethat place would be busy all of the time. I love sushi so that includes me. If sushi and roll happens to read this. My advice is to make better sushi, the people of roseburg, the ones who actually have taste and money they want to spend on sushi..aren’t coming to you for a reason. Fix the reason. Its not hard you know. Try a diff recipe. Use Google if you have to. Buy a sushi book and read it. Call a sushi restaurant that’s doing well and ask for advice from the sushi cook. Go visit a sushi restaurant and compare and take notes about how your sushi and their sushi is different. Then ho back to your restaurant and do things to your sushi that will close the gap and lessen the difference between good sushi and your sushi. Lol just fix your sushi, please. Good luck to you. I wish your business, family, and future the best. I just wanted to help out by being honest with you.
I’ve eaten here only once. The salad appetizer had a great dressing, but the sushi was made with old rice, and when we brought it to their attention, they have us some spiel about having to keep the rice overly hot per a health inspector’s request. When you can’t chew the rice, it’s no good to be served. Blegh.
Great Sushi. As far as Sushi restaurants go in the Douglas County / Roseburg Oregon area, we only have two that I know of. There is Sushi-N-Rolls and Ami Sushi. Sushi-N-Rolls offers a much more authentic Sushi experience than Ami Sushi. Sushi-N-Rolls serves fresh, beautifully prepared, bite sized Sushi of all types. Their teriakii and tempura dishes are also very good. The staff is friendly and very customer service oriented. The dining area is clean and comfortable. If you want Sushi with a close to authentic Japanese taste and presentation, Sushi-N-Rolls meets that criteria.

Scallops were near frozen & roll was bland..I think there is something to say about proper Japanese sushi rice..it makes or breaks the meal. Nice environment, nice staff though.
Have been here twice and both time the food has been great. Rolls are very well prepared by a very friendly staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good food.
Sushi and more.. The food is excellent and the owners are very friendly and knowledgable on the cusine. Very helpful to any newcomer to sushi and japanese cusine. Their soups are excellent, as is the sushi, and chicken teriyaki. I love their salad dressing that goes on their green salads. Secret recipe… dang it. One word: YUM. 10 out of 10. The place is immaculately clean, the service is wonderful and the food is excellent.
