Go some where else. About me… I managed the Bar and the Restaurant in the Hilton for over 20 years…. I’m RC. Your Boy today… i waited at the door. He never said wait or anything.. I asked for a table in the back. he said ok. 15 minutes went by with no water. When the server came up, I said are you the only guy on the floor? He said yes. Also, it has been over 15 minutes since I have gotten any acknowledgementTrain your people!Have more than one on the floor.
Date night!. B2 was a great place for my boyfriend and I to have our first date night in a long time. Maybe we’re just not going-out kind of people. But that’s ok, and b2 was a perfect, cozy, and chill little wine bar where we could sit together in the candle light and enjoy some really good food. I mean, that food rocked me.He and I shared the artichoke jalapeno dip (and by shared I mean I ate it with a fork while he politely put small amounts on his pita bread). It was creamy and warm but not pallet-scalding, which is nice!I had the Lobster Bisque and the Spinach Salad for my entree. The soup was amazing, so creamy and tomato-y, with small chunks of lobster but lots of lobster flavor (small chunks might be a negative for some people, though). The salad was good, but nothing too fancy. I kind of felt like there was too much cheese on it :/My boyfriend and I are not wine experts, but we liked what we had: I had a glass of the Shiraz and he had a Cab he really liked. So my summary: good ambience, weird location (but that’s not their fault, right?), delicious food, we stuffed ourselves and fell in love all over again (awwww)
Perfect for a girls night!. I went here for the first time a couple months ago and was truly impressed. IT’s busy and kinda loud, but over all the atmosphere is nice. The service was great, the food even better. I got he lobster bisque and a salad, my boyfriend got a panini and we also shared a cheese plate. Everything was delicious and priced very reasonably. We tried their house pinot noir and it was awesome. I can’t wait to go back!
B Darn. My biggest pet peeve about wine bars and upscale restaurants for that matter is when they don’t serve the wine in high end stemware. Where did they get these things? IKEA? You may think I’m a snob, but the wine really tastes different. But I’m just getting started. The house wine b2 was barely average. I ordered the artisan cheese plate and got standard cheeses found at any Safeway. To add insult a couple of them were severly dried out. It’s too bad because I have yet to find a good wine bar in this town.
We’ll be back. Been here a couple of times. One review was right. A little like a cafe. Rolled utensils in linens, not a lot of ambience, but you have to try the sliders! The chicken caesar is excellent. The lobster bisque amazing. Service is fast and sweet. Tonight there was music and you could actually still have a conversation. Some good specialty drinks. Definitely a great place to eat and enjoy a great glass of wine.
All around Awesome. B2 has done something other places in Eugene fail to do, which is make you part of their family. The service is great and the waitors/waitresses are friendly and respectful. The selection of wine and beer is also something to admire, ranging from domestic beer to vintage wine. But their wine is as good or better than any other wine on the menu. The food is great and the presentation has never failed. They create an experience that no other restuarant in Eugene does, and they do it with style. As for vegan/vegetarian dishes… they are scarce, but the chef will work with you. If you want a fun night on the town, a great meal with friends, a date or just for dinner, this is the place to go.
A great place to enjoy wine and relax with friends
