  New Bartenders at The O Bar Hold Grudges Against CustomersI used to be a regular at The O Bar. Friday nights were fun; there used to be a $1 Fireball shot special before midnight every week that complimented the karaoke. Last Friday I was sorely disappointed. I first approached the bar to ask how much was left on my gift card. It took a minute, which was okay, seeing as the bar was especially busy that night. But after I received my balance, and I tried to order a drink, I was passed over 5 times, and for people that came to the bar after me. I had already had a bad day and became upset, so I gave my gift card to my friend (one of two that was served before me), and asked him to get me an Angry Orchard and a shot of Fireball (which I was under the assumption was still on special). When he gave it to me, I was upset that they were in separate glasses which could be forgivable seeing as its not normally a mixed drink at this bar, but I was charged $8. My friend and I were both regulars, and they couldnt bother to tell us that the special had ended when it was valid for months before this night. I proceeded to complain with my friends, when the newer bartender, Luke, came outside to clean up glasses. I shared my frustrations with him my voice was a little heated but I didnt yell and he proceeded to tell me, How do you expect us to serve ten people at once? You just have to wait your turn. What a hell of a thing to say to an upset customer! Who hadnt even had one drink yet! And when I went to the bar to ask the other bartender, Brian, about the price of the Fireball, he was very short with me and unsympathetic to me being upset about everything. And later, talking to Luke again, I was walked away from mid-sentence.I tried to make the best of the night, but was disappointed yet again when my friend ordered us barbeque wings, and they gave us hot wings instead. If my friends hadnt have wanted to eat them I wouldve been even more upset. I also ordered one more drink, a rum and coke, and it was awful. I even had the decency to go and apologize for the way I acted to the bartenders. Brian said it was okay, but I could tell from his tone of voice and his facial expression that it really wasnt. When I asked if he was sure, he said something along the lines of, Well, people get drunk and act shitty to us, so it can be expected that you may not get the best service from us afterwards. My night, that was almost salvaged from my loving friends cheering me up, was yet again shattered. I was appalled. He basically admitted that they hold grudges against their customers, no matter how small. The only thing I could think of myself doing to them in the past was ordering a burger, and stating, not complaining much, that I meant to order a regular burger, not the one with the cheese and bacon on it. I may not have tipped them that night, mostly because I was broke and only had the gift card. Other than that, Ive always been kind and courteous to them. I didnt feel I deserved to be shunned, put down, and have my orders done wrong, regardless of any past actions towards them and whether or not I was a regular. I am never returning to the O Bar again.

  Tried to give them a chance…again. Every time I’ve gone there, I’ve been so disappointed. Caesar salad with ranch and two whole strips of chicken. Nachos without beans and unmelted cheese. Steak sandwich that was literally a chunk of with Texas toast. I’ve tried to give them a chance because they are so close to my apartment but its not worth it. Maybe they have good drink specials, I’ve only gone there for the food.
