Awesome theme and vibe. Our waiter was very generous and there when we needed him. The food was better than any other McMenamins we’ve been to, but the price was the highest ($25ish per entree). Good choice for a fun night out with a pocket full of cash.
I loved this place. Great food, good service, cool decor. Had a slight problem with a small hair on my plate and they promptly took care of it. My husband ordered the Ahi Burger I ordered the Sand Trap burger. Both were excellent. Happy hour has great specials too. For dessert, we ordered the Salted Caramel Hazelnut Tart and it was to die for. Loved this place despite the slight hiccup. 🙂
Great atmosphere, but $12 for a cheeseburger is messed up.
This place was delicious! The crab cakes were to die for and the Marionberry crumble and brownie desserts were sublime! Plus, the waiter was really nice even though we may have come off as rude. Overall this is a great choice for a meal! 🙂
Must-go-to!. WOW!My husband and I went here on vacation, having been to a couple other McMenamins. We got there shortly after they opened, and were glad we did so because they’d quickly filled up by the time we left. The food was tasty and tasted fresh, and the clam chowder was the best I’ve ever had – Moe’s in Lincoln City doesn’t even come close anymore!The view was also pretty decent – it’s not on the ocean, nor does it have any view of it. But it does sit on a gold course and looks out over it. Can’t wait to return.
Seriously good clam chowder!. After doing some razor clamming in Gearhart this morning, we had lunch at Sand Trap. The clam chowder is very good and flavorful here. The Grilled Salmon on Foccacia was good as ever and the marion berry cobbler for dessert was again, wonderful. Friendly service, also! :)21 Aug, 2010Love The Salmon On Foccacia!. We enjoyed a nice lunch here a couple of days ago with my son and his fiance on the outdoor patio. Pretty views of the golf course, the weather was fantastic! The Salmon on Foccacia with French Fries was oh, so yummy! For dessert we shared the Marionberry Cobbler with Organic Vanilla Bean ice cream. :)17 Aug, 2010Disappointed With The Fondue!. We have been here many, many times since this place opened and have always enjoyed our meals. We like to sit out on the back patio and enjoy the pretty views of the forest and golf course. A few nights ago we stopped by for appetizers before dinner at home, I ordered the Fondue that was NOT Fondue. It was melted cheese with a little bit ( I mean little bit) of crab on top served in a bowl with regular forks. Bread for dipping, that was it. I asked the waitress for smaller forks for dipping the bread. Just beware when you order this appetizer that it will not be served in a regular Fondue Pot. 🙁
