Horrible customer service. Most unprofessional service I have experienced at a PDX restaurant. Comments were so offensive that I left my take out food and walked out. My only regret is not demanding a refund on the spot. I live in the neighborhood, and I had frequented this location many times, but I will never support them again.
Got the beef salad, I say beef but it was all thick chunks of gristle. The sticky rice we ordered didn’t arrive but was on our tab when the bill came. We won’t be back.
Good, fresh Thai. Just be careful cause hot means hot. There’s no playing around with the chili here. Stick to medium or lower unless you want your face burnt off.
All Over The Place. I was really wowed by this place the first time I ate there. Wonderfully prepared, every bite packed full of flavor, I thought I might be sitting in my new favorite Thai restaurant. Their House Special Curry really blew me away. I especially liked how tender the baby carrots and potatoes were. The spice level (medium) was awesome. So I come back a week or so later and get the Green Curry. Once again I ordered it medium, which may sound kinda mild to some, but believe me; that sh*t is spicy! So it arrives, and its good, except that it is unbearably spicy. Like spicier than life should permit, in a bad way. I can barely eat, my nose is running, my eyes are watering. Still, I get it down. When my waiter brings the bill I mention this to him and he apologizes and says they are training a new cook. Fair enough. So here I am a few weeks later, this time I do something Ive never done in a Thai joint before, I order a Beef Curry. A mistake, because the Beef was incredibly fatty; like gag reflex inducing fatty. Also, the previously mentioned Potatoes and Baby Carrots are not cooked all the way through. Still, I write this experience off as being my own fault for ordering Beef. The last (and final) time I dined here I ordered the Panang Curry. By this point the Carrots are simply chopped up pieces, the small puddle of Curry was barely enough to do anything with and the overall flavor was lacking. Obviously there is nothing consistent coming out of the kitchen. Perhaps there is a high turnover back there and with no specific blueprint to the dishes, what they bring you is what you get. That just doesnt work for me. drexlermcstyles.tumblr.com
Favorite Thai. This is our favorite Thai restaurant. The flavors are good and the menu large. I especially like that the dishes are full of a variety of fresh vegetables, they don’t skimp and they don’t throw in cubed carrots or peas!
Thai Goodness. A great place to grab happy hour apps, followed by a full meal. Super delish coconut curries, and the Oh My God is ohmygod, so good.
Highly inconsistant qlty…sometimes ok, other times just awful. Try cha ba thai or Tuk Tuk for consistantly good food.
