Very nice expensive building (great location) and view of the Rogue River is great! So the atmosphere is great! But the food and service was just okay! I may do a little deeper searching next time I am in town… But for a convenient stop heading towards 1-5… This is a nice spot in the world!
What a waste to have such a beautiful building and location but serve mediocre food. I had an overpriced sandwich for lunch and the service was slow. Get a new chef/menu and this place would be great.
Disappointing food. Since I live across the river next to Taprpck I was so happy to see it go in . Then we ate there about 5 times . Go to McDonalds instead . Fast food is what Tapprock serves terrible tasting food at huge prices . We had expected so very much more,,,,!,,, I have lived in Grants Pass since 1959 . Been wanting a great food place since then .. So far nothing just pure garbage .Why can’t owner of Carls Jr. Hire a good chef for this restaurant ?. Come on you need to ,Get. Rid of the fast food, fat food taste this restaurants delivers hire a real Chef . Give us what Grants Pass needs .Something great step up to the. Plate. ,,,,Get rid of your cooks and start over !! Might try again but now no way.
It’s Much, MUCH Better—Try it again!!!. Went there for my birthday this November. Was not sure what to expect as last couple times it’s been so so. But this time we had an awesome meal. Not just good service and quick, (decor always fab) but all four of us had a very good dinner. Fried shrimp, seafood pasta, the special which was grilled pork loin with a marionberry sauce on it and Steak Diane. It was all good. I had a bite from everyone. Very satisfied. The mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon was awesome. Perhaps you should give it another try? II think they have worked to improve and take your comments to heart. Just saying.
AMAZING. Recently went to Taprock with some family and boy did they bring the WOW factor. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The server we had was very knowledgeable about the menu and really sweet. The food was wonderful. I had the pacific rim pasta and YUM! Not sure why all the bad reviews, We were very impressed.
Tapcrock. I’d rather eat corn nuts on a Greyhound bus than set foot in this pretentious tourist trap ever again.
Disappointed…again. This is our third time in the last few years to eat at the Taprock Grill, and once again we were very disappointed. This has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants in Southern Oregon. The building design, fixtures and landscaping are amazing. And the setting and river views are also great. Too bad that they can’t get the menu right. The food is at best mediocre. And pricey!…. I believe that the problem is that they are not providing the menu and quality that people want. Everyone at our table had a complaint about their meal. Where is Chef Ramsey when you need him? Can anyone say Kaleidoscope?
