Norma’s! Yummy. I live on a boat so everyday I have the pleasure of smelling the amazing food served here. I have never enjoyed pulled pork but I decided to give it a try here. Now Normas is the only place I’ll go when in the mood for pork. Go here… Now!
Great Food, Nice Host, Good View. I stayed on Hayden Island for a multi-day conference and came across the positive reviews for Norma’s Kitchen. It is a gem of a restaurant. I had the bbq ribs, cornbread and rice and beans the first time I stopped by and it was fantastic. The next evening I came back for the gumbo, which was tasty. The third, and final evening, I had the same rib meal again. What I loved about Norma’s was the friendly staff, who created a welcoming environment that encouraged patrons to interact, the view of the river, and the food, which was delicious. I highly recommend that if you are on the island for a conference or just passing through, that you stop at Norma’s and enjoy some down home cooking and hospitality.

First time visiting and really enjoyed it. Not just the food, which was very good, but the owners made us feel right at home. Gorgeous view, by the way. I have been craving the ribs ever since we ate there so we will be going back soon.21 Oct, 2010Super friendly and great pulled pork. We will definitely go back again.
