New Owners & Management! Food is so Delish! Service is great….Finally, great go-to-Chinese food in Hillsdale! Go try it…y’all will love the freshness and tastiness .might just begin to think it’s healthy :-O yummy!
Very tasty sweet and sour chicken. They use sesame seeds in the breeding which gives it a nice flavor. I order it extra crispy with sauce on the side so it doesn’t get soggy. Meal #3 is my fav with fried shrimp and chicken chow mein (noodles on the side). Good portions. I always bring home leftovers.
Good old fashioned Chinese like I grew up on.
Disgusting food. We ate a couple bites and threw our takeout in the garbage. Might have been safer to call a hazmat team for proper disposal. .
The place was VERY clean, service was excellent. The food was not good. too much breading on deep fried food, rice was from days before?? BBQ pork was chewy. Get a new cook.
I just tried this on a whim the other night and it was delicious! Very pleasantly surprised, I will definitely be back again.
So not good.. Went there last night since they are right up the street from my house. Last time I’ll make that mistake, I tell you. Got in at about 7:45 pm and the place was dead. There was one other couple in the whole restaurant. We were seated and our hopes were high when we looked at the menu’s combo plates. I ordered the #5 (Chicken Chow mein, fried shrimp, Sweet and Sour ribs and pork fried rice), and my wife and I split an order of the daily special dumplings. When we got our soup, I was forcibly reminded of the goo that the people on the Matrix ate. I was about the consistency of runny snot. Virtually flavorless, despite the bits of pea and carrot that were floating in it. Then we got the dumplings. The dumpling shells were strangely translucent and felt as tho they’d been smeared with petroleum jelly. The only flavor these had was the weird aftertaste of whatever was in them and whatever sauce we could find to dump on them. Then came the main course. Now I admit, the plates looked great. The fried shrimp (while not deveined as well as I’d have preferred) were okay (the tempura batter they used on this and the eggrolls was great), and the Pork fried rice was also ok. The Sweet and Sour ribs were meh, if a little too sweet for my taste. (The sweet and sour sauce might have made a good syrup, actually) The Chicken Chow Mein was horrible. It was more like CELERY chow mein. I had to look hard under, behind and around the MASSIVE PILE of raw, slimy celery to find anything resembling a meat product in the chow mein. Even if I’d liked celery (which I don’t) I would have been put off my the sheer quantity of it presented to me.At any rate, something I ate there didn’t like me almost as much as I didn’t like it, as it has been trying to claw it’s way back out of me since I put it down. If you’re looking for good chinese food, keep on trucking past this place and go on into Beaverton or Downtown.
