It improved a lot over the years. Menu has gotten big-foot-bigger and better and besides a great beer selection, they probably have the best cider selection around. Very friendly service and a nice atmosphere.
this is a great little brewery, tucked into a cool street in Hillsdale. Be forewarned, this is one of the only brew pubs around so it can be quite crowded. We just ordered in the waiting/bar area and the service was quite good. The beer is solid and the burger and fries I had was fantastic.
Fun Neighborhood Brew Pub. I really liked the Bertha Brown Nitro. I had the special gumbo which was tasty, although I do like more spice in a gumbo. The Harissa Fries were good. Be prepared to wait, especially on a weekend.
10 minute wait for a beer on a Monday night in an empty restaurant? The food was good but the service is always bad at this place. I’ve been to the Sasquatch around four times and always feel like I’m waiting way too long for my beer order to come. It’s a brewery so you’d think getting the beers out would be top priority.
Best servers ever!!. Even though we had to wait a while….on a busy Friday night….we enjoyed everything! Seasonal burgers are wonderful, and even good as a leftover! And these girls made it all worthwhile….but the photo bomb???Tim, Julie and Ellin Loveless….and the cutest grandchildren ever!
Awful Experience, Beware of This Bigfoot. My wife, 3 kids, and I went here for a late lunch. It wasn’t busy and we sat right next to the main entrance where every server had to pass by our table from the kitchen. Even though it was slow, and they had two (later three) servers on shift, it took our server 5-10 minutes to even acknowledge our presence. Our server took our order, got my drink order wrong (I ordered 4 beer samples, not 5), and when the food came out had forgotten one of our items. We ordered the ribs to share, mac and cheese, pretzels, and a grilled cheese for the kids. The ribs were partially cold, not thoroughly microwaved, and tasted of Kingston lighter-fluid impregnated charcoal that had not burned long enough to get the lighter fluid taste/smell out. On the positive side, my wife and kids really enjoyed the mac and cheese. Besides taking our order, our waitress never once checked on our table, filled our water, etc.The worst part of our experience was after we were done. Business had picked up but it was hardly overwhelming. We sat there with empty plates for a good 10 minutes before my kids were getting antsy and my wife took them out to the car while I waited for the bill, and waited, and waited, and waited. Sasquatch isn’t a big place, and my waitress passed by me several times while serving the tables directly behind and to the side of me. 12 minutes after my wife and kids left; yes, I timed it, I got up and walked to the bar to ask the bartender for my bill. Worst dining experience I have had in a long time. The food wasn’t good, the beer wasn’t memorable, and the service was the worst I have had in years. I’m shocked that a restaurant can be this bad on a Saturday after the lunch rush, it was a miserable experience. On a possibly positive note, the two male waiters seemed to attend to their tables rather well.
Deep Fried Kimchi Pickles, yum!!!. For a brewery, I really enjoyed this place. Now the kimchi pickles were interestingly delicious. Our table gave this place thumbs up.
