I had my first taste of Lampoei’s when I visited the Columbia Gorge for the first time. I had the Red Curry Beef and it was, hands down, the best Thai I ever had. After moving to Hood River, I found myself going to Lampoei’s at least once, sometimes twice a week. Their curry atop their perfectly steamed rice is very tasty. The pad Thai is also good. Be sure to bring cash as they do not accept credit cards or checks. As of this review, the owners are on vacation in Thailand and will not be back until March. I for one, will be anxiously waiting for their return, ready to savor their delicious curry once again.
