Best for quite a while. Just ate here with my wife for the first time tonight. Food was fantastic, service excellent and prices reasonable. Sweet & Sour soup was wonderful, had the appetizer plate and the General Tso’s Chicken along with Pork fried rice and Brocolli Beef. Everything was top notch. Definitely would recommend and will be going back.

This place is terrific! I eat here twice a week. The variety is awesome, portions huge and prices low. You get your money’s worth here! Staff is friendly and attentive. Rain or shine, I drive 20 miles one way to eat here. Try it-you won’t be disappointed.

Best Ever. There has only been one Chinese place that beats this restaurant and it closed because the owner retired. Every other Chinese place has been flavorless. This place has EXCELLENT SWEET N SOUR SAUCE. It’s actually sweet n sour, not this sweet red junk you get at other places. LOVE IT!!!

Ordered Gen Tso’s chicken to go. Don’t know what the meat was but it wasn’t chicken. Smelled like fish flakes like fish and tasted like fish. They swore it was chicken. Don’t eat there if you have any allergies.

Good stuff!. A friend and I tried Happy Dragon this weekend. They have a great menu – everything from the American classics (Combos including Chow Mein, Egg Foo Young and Pork Fried Rice, etc), specialties (Peking Duck, Salted & Pepper Shrimp, etc) to Family style. And the item that sets a good Chinese restaurant apart from average: the presence of Ma Po Tofu on the menu.Of course, that’s what I ordered. It is prepared with ground pork (excellent!) and a deliciously savory sauce. It was outstanding. And they avoided the puzzling habit of some establishments of including frozen peas and carrots! They knocked it out of the park with this trifecta (on the menu, served with ground pork and no nasty peas and carrots)! My friend ordered the Mongolian Beef. She reported it as very good. I tried it as well and concur. A delicious and dark sauce over lots of onions and beef. The only thing that I would call just average (and it was particularly so) was the appetizer plate. I’m not a big fan of fried shrimp and Happy Dragon sealed that – it was heavily breaded (more bread than shrimp). The barbecued pork was good but not remarkable and the spring rolls were barely warm in the middle. The highlight was the crab puffs – but word of caution for those not fans of onions – the onions are plentiful inside these tasty treats. The sweet and sour sauce served with the appetizer plate was another highlight. It wasn’t too sweet and had another spice in it I couldn’t identify that made it quite unique and tasty.Overall, we were quite pleased with our Happy Dragon experience and agreed that we would definitely be back.

Wanted to try the new Chinese place. We were very pleased we did. We noticed the last time we drove through Independence it was open with a new name and it was busy. It was very nice inside with good decor. My hubby had the #5 Combo (Sub Gum Chicken Chow Mein, Almond Fried Chicken and Fried Rice) all was very good. I had Mushroom Beef, I really liked the sauce and it had snow peas and carrots in it. The portions were generous and we had leftovers for next day. We will certainly be back when we’re in the neighborhood.
