Another bodega back room.. Only this one’s in the front.I’ve driven by this mom & pop grocery store many times never suspecting there was a Mexican grill at work in there.I heard about it quite by chance and popped in to check it out. The menu is posted on the glass surrounding the food prep area. I chose Tacos with Tongue and Carne Asada. (They were out of Tripa today, but the young lady said she could crisp some up for me another day.) They came double wrapped with small Don Pancho Corn Tortillas and included Chopped Onions, Cilantro and Salsa. I asked for a Lime wedge and was grateful to notice she washed the Lime carefully before she sliced it. They were $1.50 and $125 each respectively. They were very good. On a par with those to be found in other like places and Taco trucks in the area.(You can bet I’ll be back to see if she really crisps up the Tripa, ’cause that’s how I like it!)
