Exceptional Slow Smoked BBQ At Reasonable Prices. Located in trailer with an outside pit in the Whites Country Farm parking lot between Medford and Jacksonville, this BBQ joint serves exceptional barbecue at affordable prices. I recommend the combo plate with large portions of chicken, pork, baked beans, slaw and a can of soda for $8. The owner, who’s from Georgia and knows southern BBQ, was extremely friendly and gave me a tour of his pit explaining that he slow cooked all the meats for over 12 hours over Oregon madrone wood. The meat is tender, with a wonderful smokey flavor and the homemade barbecue sauce is delicious. The baked beans, which are cooked on the pit, are the best that I’ve tried. Seating consists of a picnic table under a tarp and togo orders are welcome. Ribs and tritip are available on Saturday’s. Get there early as the chicken can sell out. If your making the drive between Medford and Jacksonville and want to get stuffed on exceptional barbecue for $8, I highly recommend a stop at Tumbleweeds BBQ.
