Best Sushi. We were visiting Keizer this past weekend and asked our hotel about places to eat sushi – this was one of their recommendations. And they were right. Fresh, beautifully prepared sushi and both Cherry and Jack were friendly and helpful in making our decisions about what to order. Next time we are in the area we most certainly will return for more terrific food. Best sushi I’ve had in a long time.

Fresh Food at a Premium Price. I tried Cherry’s Nagani for the first time for lunch recently. I had a Maki Roll (tuna), Salad Roll, small Cucumber Salad and Miso Soup. Everything was fresh and prepared beautifully. I was a little taken aback at the $18 price tag. While I liked the food, I’ll think twice about going back. An $18 lunch needs to be pretty special. Cherry’s is good but not that special.

By far, our favorite place to eat. We stumbled on Cherry’s Nagani about 2 years ago and have been regulars since. The sushi is always spectacular, and the service is wonderful. Cherry is a delight. She treats her customers like family. She remembers our favorite orders, including substitutions and that we prefer all three sauces. I have seen other reviews that say the service is slow. If you are in a hurry it may not be the greatest place, unless you call ahead and order to take out. Cherry rolls all of the sushi herself, so if there are others there, you may be in for a bit of a wait, bit it is definitely worth it. Often Cherry offers me tea or edamame while I wait, and she is great company. One time while I was waiting for my food, it started pouring rain. Cherry refused to let me leave without taking her rain jacket so I would not get wet. We ordered take out tonight, and ordered a calamari and seafood (mixed, and fantastic) salad. Before I got home Cherry called, saying they had forgotten to add the seaweed, and to come back if I wasn’t too far. When I called after arriving home she told me she would have a credit for the salad the next time I come. I would recommend Cherry’s Nagani over ANY other restaurant in the area. Although I love everything on the menu, some of our favorites are the seaweed & calamari salads, miso soup, edamame, the red dragon, smoked salmon, rainbow, keizer, veggie, and golden california rolls. If you are unsure, Cherry will offer some suggestions 🙂

Soooo disappointed!! Worst …. Soooo disappointed!!Worst sushi I have EVER had. Seriously. The salmon was pale and mushy, not to mention it was very expensive and it took almost 30 minutes to get two rolls (and I was the only one in there do they couldn’t have been backed up). Owner is pretty pushy and insisted the crab in her California rolls is real crab. Well, guess what? It isn’t. They were nice enough to ask me if I wanted wasabi. I said yes but it wasn’t in the box when I got home with my order. Very disappointed. How could other reviews be do great and my experience so poor?12 Sep, 2013Wow, only ordered 2 rolls but both wrte wrong. Pretty disappointed

Delicious!. This was my first time at Cherry’s and it was wonderful! I love the intimate family atmosphere there. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch and the restaurant was very clean. The family that owns it is simply charming, too. I think this just might be the best sushi in town and I already can’t wait to go back!

So good!. It was my first time at Cherry’s. She recommended the Rainbow Roll, so I got that, and I also asked her if I should get the Seaweed salad, or Calamari salad, so she gave me half and half. She sat near me when I ate, and gave me company, since I was alone. She was very welcoming and really nice and friendly. The food was sooo good. It was very fresh, I savored every bite. A customer came in, and she seemed to know a lot about her already. A family vibe, great service, and excellent food, I will definitely be back, I want to bring my sister when she visits.

The Best. Very nice people, it is like being served by your mother or grandmother and you cannot find better sushi in Oregon. All the food is as fresh as you can get and they don’t skimp on the meat. No watered down tea either! The only problem I have is there might not be enough room for all the people if too many learn how good the food is!
