Hello, Reuben!. Excited to find a Reuben sandwich in Keizer, Oregon. This is a fairly new eatery–replacing a coffee shop in a nicely decorated house right off the main drag in Keizer. The sandwich came with a generous helping of tater tots instead of the usual fries. The Reub was a good lunch sized sandwich with lots of swiss and corned beef. The dressing was tasty as well–and they had my favorite green Tabasco. They have close-in parking for vets–and proudly display Old Glory. For $7.95 it was a tasty lunch. Will have the Taco Salad next visit. And they do some baking. Very large cinnamon rolls (also hard to find in Oregon) are made in-house.

Tried M&M’s for first time today for breakfast, what a pleasant surprise! Great staff, warm atmosphere and very good food. Breakfast burrito-delicious, biscuits and gravy were very tasty and guess what? They actually cook the eggs the way you order them! I recommend Mommy & Maddi’s!

Long time customer. I have to say I have been going to this ‘house’ for years. I was really excited when it reopened into Mommy and Maddi’s as the owners are related to the owners of White’s. (White’s is the best breakfast place in Salem, followed by Busicks in downtown.) It wasn’t as good as White’s but a close second. The owners then sold to another couple a year or two ago. They didn’t change very much and so it still is the best breakfast place in Keizer. I belong to an organization committee that meets there 4-5 times a year. The cafe has a small meeting room upstairs that is cozy and perfect for a smaller group of 10 or so. Maybe more. The room is very private and we don’t have to worry about bothering others with our discussions. It would be nice for a larger family as well. Everyone that attends our meetings comes away full and satisfied. The staff is very responsive and is more than willing to fix anything you are not satisfied with. I was reading the other comments and one stated that Mommy looked a bit frazzled. I don’t remember who’s hands the cafe was in at that time, but I do remember the first day Cherish and her husband took over. I actually was in that day. She did look a bit overwhelmed but that goes with trying to do something new. She handled it all with grace and warmth. She is now an old pro and always greets us with a smile. The staff they have now is great as well. As for the acoustics, I do have to say it does echo a bit and it would be more respectful if others would not do things that made louder noises. That being said, it is my opinion that while in any establishment where what you are doing can affect those around you, you should turn cell phone ringers off and put away the phone. One of the draw backs is how small the dining area is. It is quite tight. I also go there with family on occasion and you can hear others conversations and sometimes have to move the tables around a bit to fit comfortably. The staff does not mind though and I think it goes with the cozy, homey atmosphere.Bottom line….if you like great food, try it out.

Iris Festival Saturday Breakfast. Had not been in since they opened over a year ago. Not into Shari’s, and didn’t want to drive into Salem, so we decided to give it a try. Great breakfast, great coffee, great personable owners who also waited on us. Prices are competitive and there was a very full menu. Granted, we were the only eating customers at the time so service was great, but still, we had a nice conversation with each of them. They both had said it had been difficult to get good help that was professional and personable at the same time. Given that, it’s understandable how some of the bad reviews in here have been tilted that way. It’s a nice quiet place in the early morning. This first experience was very good. Sorry others have felt differently. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly satisfied. We will be going back. Hope that subsequent visits will be just as appealing.

I eat out a lot and at several places around the Salem / Keizer area. Mommy and Maddi’s has bar none, the best breakfast’s of all the places around. I have had at least six different ones from their menu. They have all been excellent. The top one is # 13 which is eggs, fried potatoes, link sausages and their fabulous biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy are the best I have ever had other than my grandmothers. If you want the best breakfast to be found in the Salem/Keizer area then go to Mommy and Maddi’s.
