Overall, pretty satisfied. I happened to be running errands that landed me in Keizer early and decided to check out Mommy and Maddo’s.When I walked in it was a simple, but very clean place. I was greeted upon entry. I used the bathroom why the girlfriend sat and I had drinks waiting for me.The girlfriend and I decided to share a biscuits and gravy (always way more than we can both eat). When we told out waitress, we were told it will cost a $1.50 extra. I was not so thrilled about this policy. They did serve it on separate plates in halves, but I think charging a $1.50 for it was silly to me.That being said, I get my B&G with an over-easy egg on top, which was cooked perfectly. As soon as I hit it with the fork, it spilled all over the gravy, mix it up and perfection. The gravy itself was not overly flavorful, but definitely was made there and was of good quality. It just needs something to make it something special. The biscuits it sat on were nice and fluffy and not very dense. The bacon on the side was a little overly cooked, but of a decent quality(not the cheapest, nor expensive).My only complaint (besides the $1.50) was the coffee was very weak. It got more of a dirty water then coffee flavor.However, the service was very good. Our drinks never went empty, food was quick, and the waitress was very friendly.
Burnt, burnt, and more burnt….. I was pretty disappointed when I got my food to go home. I found the hashbrowns are not fresh. Everything and by everything I mean everything but the eggs were burnt. That includes all of our toast, hashbrowns, bacon and this was in all 3 meals that were ordered. I hate to write so many negative comments, but I feel a bit fooled by the other great reviews that lead me to go here for breakfast. I feel people should know the truth. That’s why we read these reviews, right?
