Diamond Redux. Under new ownership this place has received a much welcomed facelift. New, Hi-Def TV’s, Free Wi-Fi, a proper stage (and new sound system) for those Blues acts who now play 3 nights a week, a definite upgrade in decorative style; this is not the Blue Diamond of yesteryear. Most importantly, they now have Happy Hour from 4-7. Havent tried anything off of that menu yet, but $2.50 Wells mean they are seeing more of me. While it still draws somewhat of an older crowd, I do see more people my age coming in there than before. If youre looking for a bar completely devoid of hipsters and the like; this is it. Happily, one thing that remains the same is their friendly and entertaining staff. They are well schooled in the art of the strong cocktail and conversation; 2 things that dont always go hand in hand in this town.
