I came for a Foxy Lemon concert. This place looks a bit meh on the outside but it’s actually REALLY nice in the inside. Servers are great. Asked for a black opal though and they don’t make those. There is outside patio seating with nice space heaters and a small concert venue. Will come back for sure! imriche.com
My experiences at Alberta St. Pub are overwhelmingly positive, so keep in mind while reading this negative comment that I do recommend this place.Well first, here are some positives: cheerful, laid-back, neighborhood feel with the bonus of quality drinks, a combination often hard to come by. The music (even the stuff the employees throw in the stereo) is surprisingly diverse; I went in there recently and there was some wacked-out orchestral avant-garde stuff with noisy brass and arrhythmic percussion – they clearly aren’t in business to please the top 40 crowd. THANK YOU ALBERTA ST PUB, this makes me and many others very happy.I have also had the best old fashioned of my life thanks to the gal there who also works at East Glisan. She makes a surprisingly good martini as well.But oh shoooes, my last experience has taught me that every place is subject to bad bartenders. I don’t hold it against the establishment. This guy was literally dousing my drink with bitters – how does a bitters cap even allow that?? My headache was spinning me into a fit of hysteria. It was the strongest drink I’ve ever had in my life, and not in a good way.I just had to tell somebody about that.Still go there. Good place.
Remodeled and great food!. The place has been completely redone, the service is friendly, and the food is amazing. Completely new, friendly staff– you can finally get a drink here without waiting an hour. Now that they’re finished adding the final touches its of my new favorite places.
Love the Fresh Alberta Street Pub!. As you walk through the doors, you enter another world. The smoky dark pub look is gone. In its place is a bright welcoming bar with wonderful woodwork. The unusual lighting is handcrafted from recycled glass. The walls are decorated by the work of Northwest artists. The venue side of the pub has a stage and excellent sound system and features live music several times a week. It opens out into a partially covered patio with plants and more artwork. The food is out-of-this world. I would classify the food as gastropub. The chef has crafted an unusual menu featuring locally sourced food: for example, lamb dirty fries with wine-braised reister lamb, feta, rosemary, house preserved lemon, hanger steat with spaetzle, tart kale & savoy cabbage saute, tarragon butter, heavenly salads, vegan alternatives. The pub carries a full range of beers and wine on tap. We had a great time!
Ok this place is mad overrated…or something. I don’t get it. We had to stand in line for 20 minutes for a beer. The bartender was idiotically slow. The food was…ehh. Why do people go there? It’s so not cool!
Monday Night Movie. On Monday nights, they show a free movie. They also have a happy hour that lasts till 7:30. Can’t beat that.
