Enjoyed every part of the dinning experience. Staff was great and very helpful. The charcuterie board was well balance in offerings and each item was excellent in both taste and presentation. The rest of the food was also outstanding and artfully presented. Every detail down to the wine pairing made the night.
Tiny servings, overpriced….the server brought two meals out while the other two guests waited another 15 minutes for theirs. We were still hungry after leaving, went immediately to another restaurant afterward and ordered a couple more entrees.
Pretentious gourmet food. An experience right out of the TV show, Portlandia. High prices, and craftily arranged, minimalist meals. They ought to do well, because there are a lot of people afraid to say that they’ve been ripped off. Ah well, the age old question strains to ask, what is art? ;O)
An unpleasant experience. Pretending to be a charming old kitchen, this restaurant is nothing but pretentious, expensive and not very tasty.I ordered salad and the first bite almost sent me screaming. They must have had a good bargain on vinegar, since the amount of vinegar the kitchen put in the salad would be sufficient to pickle anything left in the kitchen.I ordered fish which was not cooked well and came with a combination of more vinegary lettuce and some other un-identified ingredients.I ordered a side of bread. They brought me the smallest single piece of bread they had in the kitchen with no butter, oil or anything else.I asked for salt and pepper. They brought me large salt crystals that I could not use because they didn’t bring mortar and pestle with it…I ordered wine, the cheapest glass at $9 and I am not even sure it was measured correctly…The bottom line – I would stay away from this place.
Very very poor. Trout dish was full to the gills with lemon, and potatoes were undercooked and swimming in oil. Also, waitress had dirty fingernails. Disappointing.
Bizarre – the staff at this place are wondering around in a haze. When we ordered the waiter/host did not write our order down and so I repeated it twice and made sure she got it. Needless to say, we left hungry – she forgot my entree and a salad. They did bring the trout that we did not order. The food was fair, but stay away from the tooth chopping flat bread, and make sure that the halibut is cooked through. Definitely not on my try again list.
Loved it. We sat at the bar, were well attended to. The food was excellent, especially the duck. Drinks were also good, I had a housemade squash soda- really good! Ill go back for sure.
