They Can Burn It and It Still Tastes Good. The first pizza I ordered here was a medium 1/2 bacon, 1/2 cheese. I was really concerned when I opened the box to find a burned pizza. Yes, I’m talking black cheese and crust. Granted, it wasn’t charred or ashy, but the whole thing looked like it’d be wasted. To my surprise, however, it still tasted incredibly good. In fact, I ate more slices in that sitting than I usually would. On my next visit I ordered a small cheese pizza. This time the pizza was properly cooked and still tasted delicious. I don’t know if it’s one particular property over the other that makes James’ pizza so palatable, but I think both the crust, sauce and cheese blend all taste great in their own right.James Gang Pizza is located on an awkward corner with overflow parking across the street. It’s a spacious, open couple of rooms with a big HD TV and some arcade games (if I remember correctly). There’s also a room for the big boys to play in, too (no minors allowed), but don’t expect a stripper pole or anything. Just some of your basic beers, and I suspect lottery might be available also. Okay, you got me; I didn’t go in the big boy room, so who knows what’s in there, but I’m still guessing no pole. JGP has a small salad bar, too, btw.As for the restrooms, it’s a one-toilet red-black-white room with a bench (I don’t know what the boys get, though). The bench is probably for waiting relatives or big-Bertha purses. I did the necessary scan for peep holes (all clear, girls) and noticed, too, that there are no seat covers, so it’s a make-your-own deal with JGP’s quality (not paper thin) TP. Oh, btw, the hand towel thingamajig is a motion activated one and it spits out small size papers, and it won’t let you activate another spit-out until you rip off the first one. So have fun with that. Many of us like to open public restroom doors with our used paper towels, ensuring us that we don’t pick up someone else’s pee germies on our way out, so we like it when the trash can is an easy toss from the exit. JGP got this one right.
A Kabob to Make You Sob…. Every once in a while duty calls Rev. Rooster to the Lebanon area. Today my sister, whom I affectionately call fatty, and I were craving pizza like a mutated Terrapene carolina trained in ninjutsu. I have been to James Gang a few times and still maintain that it is the best pizza around. We ordered up a Large Shish-Kabob and two drinks for a cool $22. Creamy white sauce, garlic, mushroom, chicken, green peppers, and tomatoes (Get it? Like a shish-kabob! Oh James Gang, you clever dogs.) are lovingly laid upon James Gang chewy crust and in plenty. While we waited for our pie, we played a game or two of pool over in the corner for just 50 cents per game; not a bad price. The pizza was fantastic as always. With ample seating, cheap pool, and incredible pizza, I suggest you give em a taste!03 Apr, 2013A Great Slice of Pie. Wow, this place serves up some great pizza. I dont normally go for pizza places because I am rarely in the mood for pizza. Whenever I go to Pizza Amore for instance, I get salad because Ive never really had a pizza that knocks my socks off. Today, I think I found my new favorite pizza place. Heeding the wise council of Navalis, my dad and I ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Boy, were we glad we did! The pepperoncinis, chicken breast, bacon bits, and ranch sauce all sat on a wonderful buttery crust. The flavor was out of this world! The restaurant itself is a pretty cool little place but I dont feel that I have much to add above and beyond what Navalis wrote in his review (read it and give it a like). This place was totally worth my drive from Albany and I will most defiantly be back! I suggest you give em a taste!
Love it! Been going there for years! The girls at the counter and cute and super nice. Love the management as well. Food is out of this world! Best place to go for parties also.I can honestly say I will never eat pizza anywhere but there.
If u want to go somewhere with bad pizza and rude staff James gang is the place to go. They messed up my order and then where rude when I asked it to be fixed!
OMG! James Gang makes the best pepperoni pizza! Whenever I get a hankering for a good pepperoni pizza I give them a jingle. Well worth seven bucks!
This was my first time here and the pizza lunch special was really good! I would come back!
Under new management came to lunch with my family and we all got the pizza, salad bar and soda. We really enjoyed the pizza and the salad bar was acceptable but nothing special.
