Trailer Thai?. I attended Le Cordon Bleu up in Portland, Oregon. They have a vast selection of food carts there, of which a few are Thai carts. And I’ll tell you what, Thai UFO is every bit as good as the ones up there. Aside from the wait after you order (about 20 min, cause it’s made to order), I have no complaints. Great food 🙂
The food was absolutely amazing. We got Spring Rolls, Pot Stickers, Orange Chicken and pumpkin chicken curry, with fried rice. We even had a lot more left overs for later. I’m definitely gonna eat here at least once a week. And the best part they grow their own veggies, you can see all of them along side the fence. There was a nice old lady who worked there gave my kids 2 fortune cookies, some raspberries from their garden, and she even picked flowers from their garden to give go my children. This place us cute and very pleasant. And it says UFO how cool is that. :)28 Apr, 2014Yummy. Can’t wait to try this place out the food looks great 🙂
Might have just been the weather…. It was 95 degrees, can just imagine what it was like in the unit. The summer rolls were just wrong, might have been made in a rush because they were forgotten from my order. Pad Thai was gluey. Curry had heat but little flavor. I might give them another try when the weather cools off.
Yummy #33 Mussaman Curry with chicken. And potatoes, onions,carrot and peanuts. I asked for it to be extra hot and she let me taste the spiciness and then added more chilies to appease my pallet. For $7 I took home a large container of the chicken curry and it also came with a huge portion of sticky rice. I had enough leftover to have lunch the next day (hmmmm, it might have been better the second day!). Ok, this may seem weird that I mention this but, the carrots were cut in pretty flower shapes and that means to me there’s lots of love in that kitchen. I am happy to have UFO Thai in Lebanon….if you don’t like Thai they also have a nice Chinese menu. Cash only.
They Have Landed…. I heard that Lebanon had a shiny new Thai place so today my sister and I jumped in the ol Geo Metro and headed east. UFO is a permanently set food trailer off of Oak street that is easily accessible (unlike many food carts). We scooted across the burning hot asphalt parking lot and took refuge under the trailers awning while we examined the menu. Several options are available ranging from $5 to $7. We ordered a beef Padd Prik Khing and an order or spring rolls. Green Beans, Kaffir Leaves, and Chili Paste are the listed ingredients on the menu for the padd prik khing, but I was picking up some heavy lemon grass undertones as well. The green beans had a nice crunch and the beef was plentiful. The spring rolls were pretty enjoyable and abundant, you receive nine of the little guys, along with some dipping sauce. I had limited cash and was not able to pick up one of their thai teas for a mere $2, but I shall on my return. I suggest you give em a taste.
