I won’t bore you with extraneous detailed descriptions of the decor… The interior was clean and kitchen is open so you can see where your food is prepared. Portions were large. Staff was friendly and service was quick. A good standard Chinese joint.

Upon the sage advise of……….. Rev. Rooster, my go-to guy for superior Chinese food guidance, I drove to Lebanon today.I missed the Lunch Special deal but ordered Chicken Curry from the dinner menu. ($10.50) Customization seems to be encouraged here. I was allowed to substitute Rice Vermicelli for the Rice or Noodle options and later learned that I could have had the kitchen hold the Green Bell Peppers. I asked for Spicy and Zong, my server, queried: X or XX I’m an adventuresome guy but I thought I’d better rein it in a bit and go for X. Good decision. I think XX would have been over the top for me.I started with a cup of unusual but very good Hot & Sour Soup. Good substantial Tea was provided. Soon a gorgeous platter of Chicken Curry arrived loaded with Green and Yellow Bell Peppers, Snow Peas, Water Chestnuts, Mushrooms, Celery, Broccoli, Onion and Carrots on a piping hot bed of Rice Vermicelli. The Rev. was right (as usual), it was very good! The place has the vibe of having been there a long time. Zong confided that she was a veteran of 7 years in the trenches there. The outer dining room has 5 booths, 2 four tops and 2 six tops. There appears to be another spacious dining room through a doorway. A lacquered Chinese folding curtain separates the kitchen from the dining area. It was neat and clean. It was well worth the nice drive, with the sunroof open, on a sunny day!I recommend this place. (My thanks to RR for yet another great tip.)

Roosters Back…. After a several month lacuna on my eating-out timeline, its good to be back in the saddle. This past Thursday while on my culinary renaissance, I found myself picking up my never-ending quest to find great Chinese food. Wing Ming is a cozy little restaurant located in Lebanon and is one of only four Chinese places in town (one of which I consider to be the worst Chinese restaurant on Gods green earth). The restaurant is surprisingly roomy with 6-8 booths and 8 or so tables. The first thing to catch my eye was there HUGE lunch special board! The around 20 available entres included everything from sweet and sour chicken, beef and green beans, and chicken chow mien to one of my personal weaknesses, curry chicken! Each entre comes with choice of white or fried rice, egg flower or hot and sour soup, and crab-cream cheese wontons or a spring roll. All of the above can be yours for a cool $5.75! I ordered the curry chicken. The egg flower soup that was brought out was not the best that has ever touched my palate, but was edible. I would consider the curry chicken that I received to be in the top 10 that I have had! A half plate of fresh veggies and chicken literally dripping in curry had me in virtual curry nirvana! The fried rice and wontons were very good as well. It was also nicely presented (see pic). The service was great, the price was great, the place was clean, and the food was great! I highly suggest that you give em a taste!

Great food at low prices! Large portions, friendly people, and fast service make this restaurant a great family-dining destination.
