Hands down best place to have sushi!! So good! I love the rockstar roll.
Terrible service.. Incredible food, but the worst service I’ve ever had. Ever. My kids were done eating, (& bored) before my husband and I even got our food. Had to ask for our plates to arrive in boxes at the table because we couldn’t wait any longer. No apologies from the wait staff, zero discounts at the register. Just a hungry, grouchy mom of four…we don’t eat out often, but when we do it better be a decent experience. This was awful.
Best Sushi. I one asked a co-worked where you could get good sushi here in Medford and I was told that the best stuff was at the Greyhound bus station…..Yeah right, when did a meal from a bus station ever turn out good. Boy was I wrong. They have since moved to a more reputable location. They served up the most beautiful sushi I have ever seen. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. If sushi isn’t your thing the Teriyaki chicken is to die for.
Sushi and tempura. This is the best Japanese place in town! They have outstanding sushi, tempura and the service is usually outstanding!
This was my go to sushi place for many years…. Then they lost their sushi chef and the cute guy who waitered suddenly was making sushi… Um… No. It’s been straight down hill ever since. There’s a reason sushi chefs spend 7 years apprenticing on making rice only! Umi Sushi in Jville has it going on tho… Pass on Bonsai.
Ate here again with a friend; avoided the sushi per my last encounter, and had the spicy udon and some tempura shrimp & veggies. The soup was subpar, with the dominant flavor being salt; the seafood in it was so overcooked it made gnawing on my car tire sound appealing. The tempura was the only saving grace, being just ok. Will convince any company I am with that wants to go here to please choose another venue.29 Apr, 2011Ok food-the flavors were good, but the texture of the fish in my Spicy Tuna Roll was VERY unappealing; it was minced so finely it almost felt pureed. If the quality of fish is there, I love to enjoy the flavor and texture, not just being an obligatory glob of flavored baby food.
Btw this is the third time I have been hurt by 6th st. Bonsai recently, no longer will take sub-par sushi and service.11 Aug, 2011What a disappointment! I have been going here since inception and went recently and couldn’t be more disappointed. Here’s an idea, get a sushi chef with some sort of experience, not just whomever is not washing dishes that day.
