I’ve been hearing about this spot for a long time & finally got a chance to try it Saturday night during our fun day @ the Medford Jazz Fest. Started w/ the calamari that was super – & w/a twist that included deep fried lemon slices & asparagus! I had the scallops served on a bed of beans & couscous that were all flavored w/citrus – perfect. Bert had the steak served w/mashed pots, green beans & topped w/leeks strips which he pronounced as superb! Didn’t have time 4 dessert, but our neighbors were lovin’ theirs. Service was spot on so I highly recommend this sweet old house.
Good food, not great. But seriously, asking for a lunch reservation is a stretch. I have eaten here 7-8 times, on my past visit we did not have a reservation, the server acted as if she just gave me her first born for seating us. The food is good but come on the main lunch items are wraps, one course…… And then it felt as if we were punished with poor service for not have a reservation. I will be back again, but not if I can think of another spot and I will definitely not be making a reservation. I hope the owners see this and have an attitude adjustment for the lunch server, some of your diners are under 80 years old and could be patrons for decades to come.
