Great food, great price. The food is wonderful. The staff is super friendly. Mac salad…I have no idea what they put in it but you can never get enough. Even people that don’t like mac salad love it!
Giant Portions Excellent Food. This was our first stop on our let’s get fat honeymoon extravaganza. We went around 8pm on a Friday night and this place was packed. The decor and the bulding itself was quite mediocre. It felt like a run down strip mall restaurant inside. The chairs and table were somewhat uncomfy as well. Don’t let the appearance of this place confuse you though. The food was absolutely amazing. My husband loved the cole slaw. We received three baseball sized scoops of rice and a tower of meat with each entree. I loved the special pork they only cook on Fridays and Saturdays. The meal gave us left overs for at least 2 days. Excellent. A fat kid’s delight!
Horrible Service. Went last night (2/16/2013) at around six pm. Waited for about 10 minutes in line with phones ringing off the hook and no one answering the phone. All this without being acknowledged. This was really annoying for the people eating. Only 2 staff were taking all this load. A customer asked where the owner was and was told in bed. This was a cruel way to treat your employees. Labor laws broken times ten. Stayed a little longer until we realized that all the tables hadn’t been served yet. Left and despite their great food….may not be returning unless owner figures it out.
Huge portions, skip the carbs. At first I thought it was a bit pricy for the diner/cafe atmosphere, but the portions were huge. I should’ve split my dinner with someone. I’d suggest passing on all the carbs–(mac salad, rolls, and rice) so you can save room for the meat. Order the short ribs– very tasty and worth the work!
Get the pasta salad!. I have to admit, their pasta salad is the best I have had and I don’t usually like eating this. Their kahlua pork is excellent. I recommend you give No Ho’s a try.
Excellent food. It’s closes to the real thing when it comes to Hawaiian food here on the mainland. Drinks varieties are limited and I believe they still do not serve alcohol .
