While in a road trip, I was looking for a nice place to eat in Medford. Porters was recommended by the gals at the front desk of my hotel. I was not disappointed. Good cocktails, great wine list, & great service. I started with salmon cheesecake. Right amount of salmon to cheese flavor without being over done. Then had a steak topped with pork belly. You can never go wrong with adding pork on top of steak! The flavors of each item was very tasty & cooked perfectly!
Porters is totally charming – it’s worth a visit to see the interior alone. Food is excellent. Love their steaks, compound butters, and seafood. Menu has a lot of options for those who don’t care for the traditional steakhouse fare. I found their service to be impeccable, particularly with respect to flexibility with the menu. Lovely spot.
A steakhouse that doesn’t know how to cook a steak! Three of us ordered steak tonight. One medium, one medium rare and one medium well. All came out the same. Medium. My wife sent hers back. She only will eat a medium well piece of meat. They brought back the same steak, not professional, and it was still under done. They ended up bringing her chicken which they do know how to cook. The manager apologize and they brought us a order of bread pudding for their mistake. We were never asked if we wanted deserts. They just brought the check. I will never eat here again!
Great Surprise for out of Town Take Out. I’m in town for work and was looking for a good to-go meal for my hotel room after a long day. I had the Thai dish and the Rogue salad.
Special dinner night. We were treated wonderfully. By the hostess and waitress. Or dinner was the best in town. Our 45th anniversary. Thank you for a wonderful time.
We were travelling thru town and re-visited here….delightful ambience and very good food. Our server was terrific and very accommodating to our requests. It’s a fun and comfortable place to spend an evening…we recommend it highly.
Never again. We had a group of eight which got us an 18% tip added to our bill automatically which never thrills me. Had it not been for the reason for the get together I would have walked then. The service was at best poor and I mean poor. The Appetizer was good as was the soup the salad had no dressing my order was wrong and at best poor. The only thing worth eating at all was the shrimp on the plate the rest was all decoration. The meal cost me and the wife without desert $90.00 dollar at half that price I would not go back.
