Yum!!!. We enjoy eating at the Regency. Though dated, the atmosphere is good and clean. The music isn’t so loud that you can’t hear your partner and the art work is very nice. It surpasses Denny’s for sure. We have never had a bad dish yet. Last time my husband ordered the prime rib sandwich with potato salad…WOW! I have never tasted a potato salad better than mine, but this one is fantastic. I had the chicken special which was very tasty. The salads are fresh. We had a prime rib dinner with comedy for my B’day. FUN! Prime rib is reeeealy goood! We were spoiled with HUNGRY HUNTER’S prime rib but this one is up there. Perfectly seasoned. Oh don’t get me started on the twice a year buffets (Mother’s Day and Easter). These buffets are spectacular. They are very crowded so you do have to make reservations, but oh so good.We enjoy getting the senior rate (10% off which you must ask for). We like all the waitresses but my favorites are the ones of our generation. They are very attentive and personable. The more we go there the more they feel like friends.I recommend the Regency for sure!
REALLY GOOD!!. I recently had a great meal at The Regency Grill. It was a Coffee Rubbed Sirloin. It was the best steak I have ever had the pleasure eating. A real bargain at $19.95. they were also running a special on appetizers. A pair of Buffalo Sliders with a beer marinate and sauce. I was there during happy hour and got it at the cheap price of around $5.00. Good Service also. I understand they have new menus every month to change it up. Great idea! I will return to see what other new things they have.
The food was good. But not great. I had their Spicy Thai Shrimp dinner special which consisted of four jumbo (I’m guessing 8 to a lb.) prawns in a bed of broccoli, pea pods, red and green bell peppers and baby cob corn all over short grained, steamed rice. It was medium spicy and pretty flavorful. There seemed to be a bit of confusion as to who was to be my server as one waitress took my order and another tried to take it again and ended up serving me. I’d just driven down from Salem in scorching heat so she had her hands full trying to keep my water glass topped off which she managed nicely. On a scale of 1 to 5 I’ll give the food a 3+, the service a 4 and the air conditioning a 5+!
