Yes, I suppose Bipartisan Cafe is pretty liberal, but as a sixty-ish couple, we felt totally welcomed. We ate dessert there Friday night, and came back for breakfast on Saturday.Oh, and the food… All the pies we tried were terrific, and the ham and swiss quiche was *spectacular*. We might just go again on Sunday.Update: We did go 🙂
I was put off by the outward appearance of the outside of the building. Both windows are completely covered with different messages that seem to have a liberal political content. Very Portland hippie-ish. Very ‘if you’re not one of us don’t even come in here.’ I ended up going down the street to get lunch. Not very bipartisan.
