I really enjoy this restaurant. Even though their customer service isn’t all that great, I keep coming back. Their food is delicious and their pho is in the top 10. The atmosphere is fun and bouncy, prices are very generous for their sizing, and the appearance is very homey feeling. Overall a great restaurant 8/10

Great Food and atmosphere. Have been here several times now. The soup part is not as in depth in comparison to some pho places. These guys branch out much better. The meals like catfish for 2, and duck are the big go items. The place is a very nice atmosphere, well decorated. It is like eating at a rather upscale place, with a ,uch lower price tag. I would say it can seemed a little rushed, but I cant blame them. The place is packed always. They do an excellent job with service, and quality. I would highly recommend. It is a must try, you prob will like it.

Extremely disappointed! I have been going to Pho Van since they’ve opened. Today was a terrible experience! We placed an order to go, the man was very rude. When I picked up my order the lady was helping everybody but us and we clearly there first. She even held our to go order in her hand while she started and finished helping somebody else. I generally visit once a month. I think it’s time to find some place new.

Bowl of pho w/ fatty brisket, round steak, and lean brisket (or was it flank? either way…) = delicious!!!! Clean flavor. Bold flavor. I know the pho is good, haven’t tried anything else. Yet. The location should not deter a visit. Really. It’s worth the $8.15 for a large bowl of goodness.

Yum, slow service but the place is clean and the food is awesome. Go and relax and enjoy.

A Mixed Bag. When we’re in the mood for Pho we walk across the street to Pho Gia. However, we decided to branch out on this rainy day and try Pho Van, which has been around forever and is generally well spoken of. The results were mixed. Our Salad Rolls were excellent but the accompanying Peanut Sauce was awful, bitter. I really liked the quality and taste of the Round Steak and Flank in my Pho but the broth kinda fell flat, cilantro wouldve helped it I think. My wife felt exactly the same about her Veggie Pho. It certainly is a striking looking restaurant. Decor includes an old tuk-tuk and vintage scooter and lots of dark wood. You might even forget that youre on 82nd for a minute and theres certainly nothing wrong with that. The place was super busy but you can tell that they have it all down to a science, though service certainly felt rushed. All in all Id say theres a possibility of a return visit to try some of their specialty dishes but we certainly werent blown away by what we ate there today. And, theyre also about $1.50 more per dish than Pho Gia.Grade: C+ (heating up the peanut sauce mightve helped it) drexlermcstyles.tumblr.com
