Pleasant surprise. Went to Renner’s for the first time on a lark. I seriously had the best most authentic Chicago style hotdog I’ve had in years. It was so much better than Zack shack or even, dare I say, Pinks in LA….Also, I had a bite of my partner’s Gouda Bacon Jalapeno burger. It was cooked perfectly mid rare. We will be returning to Renner’s to check out what else the cook dreams up.
Why do I keep coming back?. Probably because I love this bar. Besides it getting a tad bit slow when its busy, which I have the paitence for, I love coming into Renner’s. The bar staff is extreamly friendly, they make it their priority to memorize my drinks. The new jukebox is a great addition, and I love the people I meet there (well some of them). Hands down the best place to get your drink on in the Village. Also, there are two bartenders specifically that I need to draw attention to, one is the dark curly haired one, Bethany, and the short red haired one, Alexis. Both of these bartenders are amazing, and if the decore and great drinks dont get you coming through the door repeatedly, han these ladies will.
