I was so happy to find Dickeys in the area. I am a transplant from Florida, and I was so hard up for reasonably priced bbq that had zero Asian fusion. That is impossible in Portland. Well……I guess not impossible, because here is Dickeys! We sampled a little of everything, and was so happy. Yall still can’t get sweet tea right, but close enough! I will be coming back again!
That was interesting. In a strip mall with a very small storefront. Not too many tables. You stand at the counter and order your food and then walk down to pay while they put your meal together. As stated by others they aren’t cooking the meat here just reheating it. We had ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. Ribs were ok, sauce isn’t bad, but the ribs suffered a bit with the reheating. Kinda dry. The brisket was decent i’ve had better and i’ve had much worse. A bit too much fat for my liking but very moist and cooked right. Pulled pork was ok, not over cooked and with the sauce a decent pork. Would be real good on a sandwich. Sides were the best, tangled onions were just the right amount of grease and nicely browned. Okra was also fried and were a good little meal. Overall not sure if i’ll go back. Wasn’t bad but i can see it being terrible depending on how the reheat goes. They are close to home though …
